Potential of AI (Artificial Intelligence)

As stated in 'AI Strategy 2021' presentation from the Cabinet Office, government of Japan, "AI contains a wide range of systems with intelligent functions, and is sure to contribute to developments in scientific research, technology, society, industry and even daily life." Although practical applications of AI by companies is still under trial and error, there are an increasing number of fields in which AI has been put into practical use and is producing effects. From the perspective of administrative processing, since AI is not a panacea, it must be introduced into businesses only after its applications and strengths have been properly assessed. Only then will we be able to introduce these processes into businesses and achieve administrative reform.

People and AI Integration

It is important to work on DX (business reform) after understanding the efficacy and issues of people (administrative personnel), systems, and AI, and the characteristics of each. From our experience developing administrative applications and know-how accumulated through our administrative outsourcing work, we can promote business reforms utilizing AI, but not by simply substituting one part of a business with AI. We believe it is important to apply the advantages of both people and AI into a harmonious system.

From Office Optimization to Automation through Business and Data AI

We've been able to progress with the practical application of AI in every kind of business workflow thanks to the know-how we've gained from creating data from analog media. To deal with this influx of digital data due to the promulgation of smartphones and tablets, in addition to the digital data obtained by scanning paper such as forms and documents, we are working on more efficient, high-level automation on a wider range of operations by utilizing new technologies such as AI/RPA/Cloud for digital data.

We developed unique industry know-how and established a proven track record while working in our core business of clean data creation (the digitization and inspection of various slips and forms), and now offer a one-stop shop for BPO service needs starting with administrative consulting through to systems development.

AI-OCR Initiatives in DX (Digital Transformation)

AI-OCR has improved the character recognition rate for forms and documents and has been particularly effective in recognizing handwriting that does not use character width. It is common practice to use AI-OCR to run a recognition process of individual units of digitized files. However, we've used our industry know-how to established a system that uses AI-OCR more effectively. Through this system, we've been able to implement automation and operational efficiency by digitizing various volumes and types of forms or documents.
