EOS is a service that can incorporate multiple engines when converting forms into image data for operation and processing on a system in operations that handle forms.

Multiple OCR Engines Can Be Configured for Multi-engine Control
EOS can be configured to control and operate multiple engines. It can be set to include not only our own OCR engines but also those developed by other companies, making it possible to incorporate the most suitable engine according to the content of the workflow for handling forms.

Each image processing engine and character recognition engine are all controlled by EOS, allowing connection to business applications through a single interface.
Select an OCR Engine According to Business Requirements for Optimal Business Efficiency
EOS is capable of multi-engine control, allowing the appropriate engine to be selected and operated according to business requirements. For example, a form can be configured to use the OCR engine for items with printed text, and the AI-OCR engine for items with handwritten text. Also, if character recognition is required for both standard forms and non-standard forms, multiple OCR engines can be used to improve recognition accuracy.

Reduce the Impact of Business Logic Modifications/Additions on the System and Reduce Modification Costs
By connecting business applications and EOS through a single interface, it is possible to reduce the cost of modifications to business applications.
Normally, when setting up an OCR engine, etc. in a business application, it is necessary to modify the application individually. In contrast, EOS, which supports multiple OCR engines in advance, enables the immediate use of multiple engines by connecting to the business application, eliminating the need for application modifications when switching OCR engines. In addition, when business specifications are changed, business logic in the system must be added or modified, requiring business application modifications as well. In contrast, EOS itself has a function to add or modify business logic for character recognition results, so application modifications are not required and costs can be reduced by using this function.
Improved Operational Efficiency by Meeting Security Requirements and Improving Transmission Efficiency
When EOS links the image data of forms to the OCR engine, only the images of items to be recognized are cropped and shuffled before transmission, thus preventing identification of personal information and meeting security requirements. In addition, the cropped images are lightweight, which has the ancillary effect of improving transmission efficiency, further contributing to improved operational efficiency.
