eFIRST Process is convenient in the sense that it can be used quickly with just a configuration and suited to many purposes, but also is capable of tailoring solutions to each customer's unique requirements. To easily realize these requirements, eFIRST Process has adopted a concept of "case" and "link." The following uses the example of airfare refund operations to explain "case" and "link." These operations consist of receipt of unused tickets, investigation into the reasons and refund of the airfare.
A "case" carries complex data.
In airfare refund operations, the refund data, customer data and image of the air ticket are constantly referred to and need to be kept together. In fact, on a paperwork basis, these materials are put together in a single folder, and carried. This folder concept is provided under the name of "case." An example is the Airfare Refund Case as illustrated below. The case contains multiple operational data and images and handles them as a single case.
A "link" reflects a relationship between data.
In airfare refund operations, not only the Airfare Refund Case but the Customer Details Case, the Settlement Bank Case and many other cases are required. Relationships exist between the cases. For instance, it is necessary to designate a settlement bank to which the refund is transferred. In this case, there is a relationship - namely, the designation of the bank to which the refund is to be transferred - between the Airfare Refund Case and the Settlement Bank Case. The eFIRST Process can define the relationship under the name of "link."

An operation screen is generated from the case and the link.
eFIRST Process generates Web operation screens, for example for primary investigation into the refund conditions, and other processes from the Airfare Refund Case, the Customer Details Case and the related links.
