Environmental Philosophy |

BancTec Japan, Inc. recognizes that conservation of nature and the environment in local communities is one of the most important corporate social responsibilities. BancTec Japan will conduct business activities with environmental consideration and work on environmental conservation and prevention of pollution in development, manufacturing, sale and maintenance of hardware and software for the main business of providing customers with image data processing solutions as well as in its outsourced image data processing services and sale of maintenance components. |

Action Guidelines |
| 1) |
BancTec Japan will continuously work to improve the environment in all its business activities in an effort to reduce environmental impact and prevent pollution. This includes operational streamlining, resource saving, energy conservation, waste reduction and preferential purchases of environmentally friendly goods. |

BancTec Japan will comply with laws and regulations on the environment, requirements for environmental management systems and other related agreements and rules that it has consented to. |

To promote environmental conservation activities, BancTec Japan will establish an environmental management system, determine environmental objectives and goals, and endeavor to attain them. |

BancTec Japan will regularly review its level of achievement in environmental objectives and goals that it has determined in an aim to constantly improve its environmental management system. |

BancTec Japan will document this environmental policy and publish it on its internal groupware. It will also make it known to all BancTec Japan personnel through environmental education and work to increase awareness among all its staff about environmental conservation. |

BancTec Japan will publish this environmental policy on its website and disclose it upon request. |

On October 5, 2007, BancTec Japan obtained ISO 14001 certification, an international standard for environmental management systems.
BancTec Japan's corporate philosophy includes an emphasis on corporate social responsibility (CSR). As part of its CSR efforts, BancTec Japan has since November 2006 operated an environmental management system in an aim to obtain ISO 140001 certification. An environmental policy has been formulated which reads, “BancTec Japan, Inc. recognizes that conservation of nature and the environment in local communities is one of the most important corporate social responsibilities. BancTec Japan will conduct business activities with environmental consideration and work on environmental conservation and prevention of pollution.” BancTec Japan underwent examination by the Japan Quality Assurance Organization in August and September 2007 to acquire ISO 14001 certification. After introducing an environmental management system, it is now possible as an enterprise to make organized efforts toward environmental conservation. BancTec Japan believes that corporate social responsibility will be met when every member of the company engages in tangible activities with a high awareness toward improving the environment.
